Let’s talk about the ‘Purr’ vocalization of the cat. All (greater and lesser) cats purr, which shows that they all come from common ancestors about 40 million years ago. The domestic cat is considered a lesser cat.

A cat’s purr delights its owner. Nature would not have allowed this unique feature of purring to last 40 million years without reason, as it takes energy for a cat to purr. The low vibration of the purr, 25 to 150 Hz, Researchers have found, has the effect of healing the cat’s bones and tissues. Cats have about 10% less visits to the Vets with broken bones in comparison with dogs. Is this an indication that the cat has something special going for it?.
